Tracey Crouch: To ask the Attorney-General what estimate he has made of the number of cases of alleged offences involving sexual abuse at boarding schools in respect of which there was insufficient evidence to prosecute in the last 10 years.
The Solicitor-General (Oliver Heald): The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) does not maintain a central record of the locations where it is alleged offences have been committed. This data could be obtained only by examining all of the CPS’s files, which would incur a disproportionate cost.
