North East Hertfordshire MP Sir Oliver Heald has welcomed the launch of the next phase of the Government’s ‘Care for Others. Make a Difference.’ recruitment campaign. The recruitment drive seeks to inspire job seekers to choose a rewarding, long-term career in the caring sector.
At the same time, the Government is calling on people to come forward and take on short-term roles to offer immediate support to the sector. Volunteers, including people on furlough, can now register their interest in short-term opportunities here: www.everydayisdifferent.com
Commenting, Sir Oliver said: ‘This is a great initiative and will provide additional support to the tireless and brilliant efforts of the care workforce. There are over 1.49 million care workers and through these recruitment drives we can provide care workers with a critical boost in numbers and to show our gratitude for their incredible work.'
