North East Herts MP Oliver Heald was Guest of Honour at the Letchworth Garden City Rugby Club lunch and then stayed to watch the match against Stowmarket.  Speaking at the lunch, Oliver congratulated the team on its 25 game unbeaten run and being top of the League.  Letchworth went on to beat Stowmarket 34-14, making it 26 games unbeaten.

Commenting, Oliver said “It was good to be able to congratulate Letchworth on their fine run and also to watch the match against Stowmarket.  This is the best run I can remember by the team and I was proud to be presented with their Club tie.”
